US crude oil inventories Have fallen significantly - Commerzbank

US crude Oil inventories fell By 3.3 million barrels last week, as reported by The uS Department of energy midweek, said commerzbank Analyst Carsten Fritsch.

Crude oil inventories are currently about 5% below the 5-year average

“Higher net crude oil imports with a slight increase in crude oil refining could indicate increased inventories. In addition, US gasoline demand and US distillate demand also declined over the week. However, gasoline and distillate inventories also declined.”

“One of the reasons for this may be the continued high net exports of petroleum products. Crude oil inventories are currently about 5% below the 5-year average, and distillate inventories are even 7% lower. At the same time, gasoline inventories increased by 2.4%.”
